The result of the measured data is seriously distorted, which is quite different from the real situation. It can only be counted as a number. It can answer whether there is oil in the water or not.

Oil in water is the second kind of pollutants, toxicity and harm are relatively large! Since the environmental monitoring station is responsible for the monitoring of oil in water, it is the quantitative analysis required. Besides, the environmental monitoring also serves the environmental management.

Now after decades of development, oil analysis method in water has been very mature, there are gravimetric method, photometric method, etc.

But was the sample collected correctly? Is it an oil film (emulsion) water sample? Or dissolve the reservoir water sample? Or full water sample?
